The Gem Theater is a department of the City of Mulberry funded through the City’s Community Redevelopment Agency.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Gem Theater is to enrich, educate, and entertain the community of Mulberry and its guests through quality cultural and artistic events and productions.

Objectives:

I.        To create an ongoing schedule of film and performing arts programs available to the public that entertain a diverse audience

II.      To be valued as a culturally significant asset locally and regionally

III.   To serve as a catalyst for growth in the downtown Mulberry area and its surrounding communities

The Gem Theater was originally built by the Arnold Family and delighted audiences in its current location from 1947 - 1957.
